The character that I chose to compare Ichabod Crane to was Shane from The Walking Dead which is a very popular tv show that airs on AMC. Shane, at the very beginning of the series, was a "leader" after the whole break out of what ever this virus, infection, or disease is. He took a drastic change and just became someone completely different.

          In the show when Rick's son was shot, he had to go out on a run with the man that shot him. After going to a zombie infested high school to get some medic supplies, they both were almost killed trying to get back to their truck. This is where Shane killed him and told everyone else that the man told him to run while he covers him. Towards the end of the second season, Shane finds out that barn that belonged to the owner of the farm that they were staying at, housed zombies. He tried to talk the Hershel, the owner, and tell them that they aren't human anymore and their dead. Hershel refuses to believe him so Shane decided to show him the hard way. He grabbed some guns and popped the lock on the barn and killed every single one of the zombies again. No one expected Shane to do this.
